So, I have heard that barbequed meat can cause cancer, is this true? Has anyone else heard about this? I'm a vegetarian would this also apply for barbequed veggies?
Last week, the Globe and Mail ran an article called "Cheese puffs, with added vitamin D', which discussed the potential Health Canada policy that would allow manufacturers to fortify certain foods as a method of increasing 'access to certain vitamins and minerals'. They went on to say that health experts believe that the 'move could exacerbate unhealthy eating habits'.
So to be honest I never really put a lot of thought into what I was eating until lately. As most young adults, and society, I found convenience in pre-packaged, take-out, and microwavable meals. Really, I think I survived on Poptarts and Lean Cuisine for most of my time at University. Of course the occasional fruit & veg would sneak its way into my diet too – but I wasn’t making conscious eating decisions.
Over the last couple years I’ve had constant problems with my stomach and battling fatigue. I was in and out of walk-in clinics and hospitals, only to get the same answers and same useless prescriptions.
